When/Why

Stroganoff is so incredibly tasty and satisfying, especially when combined with the crispy and salty Sweet Potato Fries. We don’t have red meat often at home as we mostly reserve beef and lamb for when we eat out. So, this is a perfect weekend dinner treat, especially in those winter months. Tenderstem Broccoli is a staple green veggie for us, as it’s tastier and more refined than regular Broccoli, yet is packed with indigestible fibre that is vital for a healthy gut. Due to the high protein content and satisfying taste and textures, this plate is incredibly satiating without the need for loads of carbs. This is a BIG plate, so feel free to reduce the Sweet Potato down to 150g and split the stroganoff in half (Beef, Milk, Sauce Mix) and save 419 calories.

Benefits

Sweet Potato offers a nice hit of vitamin A, C, Copper, K & B6, plus has a lower blood sugar response than white potato. Lean beef is a great source of protein and creatine, both very supportive to having developing and maintaining a lean physique. You get a good portion of indigestible fibre and prebiotic benefits for your guts’ microbiome (i.e. feeding the beneficial bacteria), that come with Mushrooms and Broccoli, in addition to vitamin K, vitamin C, folate (folic acid) and potassium. Moreover, normal White Mushrooms are being touted as nature’s nutritional supplement as they are loaded with the nutrients our bodies need to generate energy and repair cells — including digestive enzymes, a spectrum of B vitamins, protein, and vitamin D2.
