What’s the deal with the “New UK Variant”?

The Govt aren’t going to tell you, so here’s what you need to know about the new SARS CoV2 “variant” 👇🏼

Thousands of Variants

🌍 There are ~4000 SARS CoV2 variants sequenced to date globally, comprising of many 10’s of thousands of mutations.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 In England, Lighthouse Labs (for the most part) perform genomic sequencing on a subset of the positive tests (~10%). In doing so, they contrast the positive PCR sample collected to the Original SARS CoV2 sequenced genome published in January by WHO.

Where they notice differences (mutations) – where there has been amino acid insertion, deletion or change in the RNA – the mutation is given a code relevant to the change type and placement and added to the GISAID database.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England’s global contribution to SARS CoV2 genomics is coordinated through “COVID-19 Genomics UK Consortium” (COG-UK). They have identified and named 150+ Variants to date, which comprise of thousands of individual mutations.

The New B.1.1.7 Variant

🦠 The variant in question is the lineage B.1.1.7 which has 7 identified descendants so far, and is called VUI-202012/01. It comprises of 17 mutations, the majority of which relate to the Spike protein (depicted in image bottom-left).

It has been speculated that it may have arisen from a chronically infected individual.

🤦🏻‍♂️ B.1.1.7 has been found only 1,416 times – so please be mindful of this when Whitty and Vallance describe prevalence and proportion of samples that contain this variant. They are “modelling” again… and we know how useless our models have been to date.

🧬 One of the Spike protein mutations (the N501Y) occurs in the receptor binding domain (RBD) that the virus uses to bind to ACE2 and enter a cell. Changes in this region can result in the virus changing its binding capability AND alter antibody recognition.

🧬 Two other mutations (N439K and Y453F) also occur in the RBD region and increase binding to ACE2 and shown to escape the neutralising effect of a few antibodies.

New UK Coronavirus variant

Impossible Vaccine, or non-virus…

Net-net, this variant alone comprises of many mutations, of which there have been 10’s of thousands identified to date.

💉 IF (and this is a big if) we buy into the correct and honest sequencing of a 100% non-self pathogen in January – affectionately called SARS CoV2 – then it’s fair to say that attempting to create an effective and durable vaccine for COVID-19 seems like a fools errand… as well as being a massive money spinner.

🤔 The alternative perspective is that we’ve not entirely characterised non-self RNA in the original sequencing of “SARS CoV2”, and these mutations are less about the virus and more about our unique human genetics.

They know nothing… but panic!

It seems far fetched to draw conclusions that these cluster of genetic mutations can increase “transmissibility”.

✈️ Mutations don’t have the virus grow wings or propellors.

Instead, a better expression of these mutations is the ability to infect cells and invade the immune system. If more infections could take hold, that could indirectly increase transmission.

😱 Either way, this looks like the govt wishing to scare the population… again.

They have been clear to say there is NO EVIDENCE to describe the characteristics of this lineage – be it infectiousness, severity of infection, or deaths.

🙄 And, the “evidence” they cite to suggest this lineage is more transmissible is based on modelling… not on empirical evidence.

Effectively, they have nothing.

They don’t know if this is a positive mutation, or a net-negative mutation.

👌🏼 That said, if history tells us anything about the evolution of viruses, it is that in time they become less virulent and more transmissible, such that they can co-exist with humans and animals without constant death – either of them or their host.

How much more can you put up with?

❓Who is getting thoroughly sick and tired of this global charade?

❓Who has had enough of this constant psychological abuse? They can’t even give us the weekend off… let alone Xmas!

Let’s be clear. This supports the ongoing effort to give us a variety of names and reasons to have us locked down and wear us down to mass vaccination and ongoing surveillance.

🦠 The govt can’t be seen as inhumane to proactively disrupt Xmas, but a teenage ninja mutant virus variant can be blamed for their regrettable cancellation of our Christmas spirit.

❌ WE DO NOT CONSENT ❌

🙅🏻‍♂️ We haven’t, and we will not. We will not be complicit in this unnecessary destruction of people, society, livelihoods and children.

NO!

They might convince those who cannot understand the science and spot their destructive game plan, but not those with a working critical brain, a courageous heart, and a fighting spirit.

  1. Hi Steve Katasi, thank you so much for presenting and publishing this newsletter, some of the detailed scientific issues are a trifle beyond my reach!, but nevertheless appear to be following a coherent narrative so I am willing to accept your conclusions especially when you make clear statements about exactly what is NOT known.
From the very beginning I was posting comments on various channels encouraging other people to avoid making decisions based on speculation!, it was obvious to me then as it is now that doing that sort of thing just goes from bad to worse!.
The fact that at every turn and twist the politicians that have hi-jacked this issue have been desperately trying to impose their will on an element of nature that we cannot control. the panic and frustration just sends them further and further over the edge!. Cheers, Richard.

    1. Thanks Richard! Glad our stuff is helpful and offering a means to have evidence-based discussion with those around you. We need to keep our sanity somehow in an insane wow – hope our stuff helps with that a little. 👍🏼
